UV filters & protective filters – The invisible bodyguard for your lens
This filter is much more than just a UV blocker: it's your daily companion if you want to effectively protect your valuable camera lens from damage. Scratches, dust, fingerprints, splashes of water, or sand – this robust protective filter reliably keeps all of these away from the sensitive front lens. This makes it the perfect "protector filter" for anyone who regularly photographs or films outdoors.
Clean images – clean lens
Besides its protective effect, the UV filter blocks ultraviolet light, which can cause milky images, especially at high altitudes or in strong sunlight. The result: clearer photos with better sharpness and less haze. While modern sensors are less susceptible to UV radiation than analog film, a UV filter is still useful in outdoor photography.
High-quality materials for the best image quality
Made from genuine Schott B270 glass and finished with an 18-layer nano-coating, this filter guarantees 99.2% light transmission. The special coating is not only anti-reflective and color-neutral, but also features a lotus effect, causing water and dirt to simply bead off. The precision CNC-machined aluminum mount, with its dual thread, allows for the attachment of additional filters or a lens cap – ideal for frequent users and professionals.
Are UV filters still necessary today? – Fact check
This question comes up again and again – and the answer is: Yes, but primarily for protection. While UV filters were indispensable for analog cameras because film was sensitive to UV light, the effect is less pronounced with modern digital cameras. Nevertheless, the UV filter remains a valuable tool in outdoor photography: It can reduce light haze, provides clearer contrasts, and – most importantly – reliably protects the delicate front lens from physical damage. It's better to clean the filter 100 times than to ruin your lens even once.
